I hear through a friend who works for GS that the Boy Scouts [in the US, only, and at the national level] have a 5-year-plan that includes siphoning off GS’s membership. I don’t like the sounds of that and want to make sure that spaces for girls - bio- or otherwise, since GS is inclusive - still exist.

Hey can you mention, link to or quote the advocacy group Stella, who are quoted in the linked piece? It’s by-and-for sex workers in Montreal and I think it’s important that the voices of sexworkers _actually_ be heard.

I’m willing to bet this guy did it to seem funny to and curry favor with _other men._ The fact that it was at a woman’s expense didn’t enter his mind at the time, because using women’s bodies has always been a great way to impress the lads.

I don’t read that as a good thing. I read that as Collins, who might otherwise have voted against him, justifying the position she is going to take when she votes him in. I don’t think it will take much for him to reconsider that “settled law” stance that he currently “holds.”

Which disciplines’ granting agencies is that true for? This has not been my experience. Many academic presses no longer go after authors for putting preprints on their own websites, but I’m not specifically aware of freedom to access being a clause in most granting agencies’ requirements.
