It was brought up as an issue shortly after release. I choose not to buy it out of principle of the DRM on a console. Good thing too because BC2 wasn't that good from what I heard.

I used to read IGN review, back in early 2000's. Nowadays I keep hearing people say over and over how horrible they are. In my case, every niche game I'm into IGN despises so I won't bother to even look at their review as their opinion vastly varies from what I find as enjoyable. Plus they give every mainstream title

You forgot librarian and psychiatrist. Can't imaging them without glasses.

I'm sure not going to buy a censored version that didn't have that label on the CD sleeve though.

I made the point on an earlier article that the difference between launch titles and 3 years in AAA titles can't be compared. Developers get the most out of hardware the more they work on it.

No past generation has ever lasted this long. If Sony/Microsoft are expecting their consoles to last the full 10 years, then upgrading so much RAM shouldn't be such an impossibility. Like they say "better to have it and not need it then..." . Technology advances so fast that something even 2 years old drops from top

I'm going to expect this form Sony and Microsoft though. Nintendo needs to make money off each console and I wonder if they can do it and still push out more powerful hardware beyond what is already out there.

On top of native 1080p, I would love it if had some 8x MSAA and 16x AF

I would put bets that this is the final version to include this much new content. They could always release this version bundled with all the DLC released down the line.

If a gamer only looks at a score aggregator and then decides what he will buy or not, then there's an issue. The best thing to do is talk to gamers that like the same type of games you do. Better to do some research then go off some arbitrary score from some guy you don't even know.

Baten Kaitos was a fun game. Unique battle system that used cards for attacks/magic. One of the few RPG's the GC ever got.

I applaud your post good sir. You have put into words what I always felt was the problem with SOE. It HAS to be management (I hope) that has too much control over every aspect of the game and nothing ever gets done as fast as it should. Too much red tape would be my guess.

The format is DEAD. Microsoft was just one company behind the development and adoption of HD DVD. They all stopped supporting the format once bluray was the standard for HD movie releases. Since the format failed to be adopted by the movie industry, they most likely reasoned it wasn't cost efficient in the long run to

Is Kojima Productions under the ownership of Konami? Because I thought Kojima ran this as his own studio, I wonder how will the studio run when Hideo must be in charge of Konami in general.

The cerberus network for ME2 did something like this. I liked that they gave something extra to new copies and was optional to buy if you got it used. The problem is that developers/publisher can't live without EB and other retailers that survive by operating in the used games. Their the ones that stock new games in

Your reply makes it sounds like you don't understand what is being included with a brand new copy of the game. You get a redeem code to access the online portion of MK, now if you buy it used you pay for this feature. Been done before, don't act too surprised.

I'm going to guess it's the latter.

The Red Boxes in my area launched their game section recently and as most people were guessing it was laughable at the tittles they actually stocked. But in the last 3 weeks they actually stocked Homefront (Both), MvC3 (Both), Little Big Planet 2, and Killzone 3. I rented K3 for 2 days and beat it for $4. Hope Red Box

The more I hear that there's a magical amount of hours that decides a games worth the more I cringe at the rationality. Also think there's less choice you have on what type of games you can buy/play. No FPS campaign come close to a 20 hour mark and it doesn't have to. Fighting games can be beat from stage 1 to the end

This only benefits the consumer. It's up to Activision to even consider something as asinine (to their profits) as your idea for actual implementation, Black Ops is the #2 grossing game of all time, it doesn't need anything innovative in price to make that happen so why should they try anything different. It's sad but
