The NBA should be allowed to draft more players in excess of the pro active roster. They can pay players while they play NCAA ball. Want to draft that high school senior but don’t want to waste an active roster spot?

The Players Union could really get behind this. It would keep vets and players that would normally not

I used to do Ironmans. Any flat course will be a draftfest. Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, Cozumel, etc.

Courses like France/Nice, Wisconsin, and others with lots of hills or outright mountains are both more challenging and keep the bike course honest.

And did anyone mention doping in the amateur ranks? Yeah, like a 30-50%

It’s very nice... for a dirtburner. But it’s basically outclassed by a Tesla Model X p100d in basically every conceivable way.

People complain about how much Teslas cost, then drool over this bucket of old hat tech that costs as much or more. Granted the p100d is 10k over the cost of this, but it’s 0-60 is 2.8 vs. 3.4

All the stupid people in this world that don’t get that cycling is small time for drugs.

The money at stake there is 1/100th of soccer, basketball, baseball, and football.

Armstrong is a compelling, flawed, over-the-top fall-from-grace story so everyone gloms onto him. Meanwhile pro players are balding after a couple

I’ll let Chris Paul nutmeg me for ten million bucks.

Any chance this shame will cause her and all of her kin to not appear in media anymore?

What an unbelievable performance.
Stretches the very definition of human limits.
Stupefying.
Truly beyond what any rational and reasonable person would consider logically possible.
Makes you wonder what science and technology will deliver in the future.
What an inhuman achievement.

Since we are trafficking in racial stereotypes, I think caucasians aren’t too shabby in the raw strength department, which is why NFL offensive linemen are generally a lot more white than, say, skill position players and other positions with a much more substantial speed component.

Do I have any science to back that

XPoint was sold as near-ram speeds. Reality is more like this... a pretty good SSD for way too much money. Is this still first gen XPoint?

This is basically paid advertising.

What the hell is a Massachusetts D-III school recruiting in Florida? And sending multiple recruiters?

Basically, PEDs are omnipresent at the pro levels. Hell it seems they are omnipresent at amateur and “pro” sports that don’t involve lots of money made, or even money lost, like bodybuilding and Cat !!!3!!! amateur bike races.

At this point, drug enforcement practically needs to constrain the scope of doping. You don’t

That was a viciously fast forehand slice.
Next up: super sidespin

I was trying to be sarcastic, but reality... Y U so brutal?

It’s almost like the entire MPAA is full of people with sordid histories of sexual exploitation, willing to turn a blind eye to such indiscretions.

I forget, does Roman Polanski get to vote?

Everest costs $50k and kills, what, 10% of the people that do it? The physical requirements to run a sub-4:00 are way harder than writing a check and being in roughly the shape to run a 4 hour marathon.

This is jumping the gun, obviously, but cyclists seem to die in their sleep too... And they are both in endurance sports...

If you muck with the amount of oxygen-carrying red blood cells via blood doping or EPO it can make your blood much thicker, and then you get pulmonary embolisms.

It’s cute that cycling gets raked

No way an unaerodynamically tuned already-heavy frame with 64kwr battery goes 292 miles in real world.

They must have tested it downhill with a tailwind.

Truly an amazing, remarkable, unbelievable recovery. In such a short time. Almost superhuman. Almost defies belief.
