I suggested that over in the comments Lifehacker and so far there has been about 80 replies, most of them yelling at me about why I should stop forcing them to switch OSes (when I only said that Ubuntu is faster)

I've seldom found anything not in the repositories that can't be installed with a few clicks or >5 commands, which can usually be copy-pasted...

The only problem with that is that many (many, not all) users' reason for using Windows is that that's what their computer came with, and that they think that you have to have an advanced degree in computer programming to use Linux...

Does Windows have an easy-to-use central repository, where almost any program for Ubuntu is available with only a few clicks? I didn't think so. I'm going to have to say that it is a very intelligent way of installing...
