You have brought up excellent points, especially about cultural misunderstandings due to assumptions of shared identity, but too many people twist the situation to make themselves look good. It seems that this is another manifestation of people who think they know about the black community in the USA, but they don’t.

Thank you for saying it. It’s disingenuous when light or mixed black people only discuss the negative experiences they have had due to colorism, because studies show there are structural privileges as well.
