I am happy to hear this. This new version seems like it is a true and honest follow up to the original show. 

Parks and Rec ultimately made very little impression on me

The thing about Perd Hapley is that he was a journalist named Perd Hapley who always stated the obvious, much like I’m doing right now.

It’s also possible that they named him Perd so they could eventually give him a show callled Ya Heard with Perd.

I’ve seen every episode of this show and I totally don’t remember Scott Speedman’s character. IMDB says s14E7, but he clearly made no impression on me.

yeah, that’s a weird one. Why call his wife? His mom wasn’t available?

As someone who watched a LOT of Grey’s Anatomy before finally giving up on the show, Ellen Pompeo has an outsized sense of her importance to it, at least as an actor (she’s active in production now). 

If this was an Am I The Asshole post, it would be an “Everybody Sucks Here”

They both sound delightful. Denzel for going off because of a tiny ad-lib and her for telling this story like she’s proud that she was the bigger asshole.

Ellen Pompeo seems like a lot. 

I don’t know what that means. If a show is good, I want more of it. Here, it laid off for years and seems like a good villain will make for a good comeback.

I don’t hear this for Star Trek and it has had like 6 live action spin offs and almost 15 movies.

CSI’s last season still brought in over 11M viewers.

Lastly, people…

I’d surely watch. CSI was great, specifically the original in Vegas.

I choose to believe year-from-now Peralta has taken a lucrative, low-effort side gig as a Hollywood consultant, and has met Bruce Willis at last.

“Police procedural starring Josh Groban and Tony Danza” feels like Sitcom Madlibs.
