DE’JA. DUMP THIS FUCKING DOUCHE ASAP.

I’m a former drunk, been sober for almost 3 years now. I have a good friend who just doesn’t like drinking and I feel like he gets so much more shit from people than I do. Like people will respect, “I used to drink, but I quit,” but they for some reason don’t respect, “I just don’t want to.” Like his lack of interest

Yeah, I think you really hit the nail on the head as to why AA can be problematic for women in particular. I felt the same as you.

Download a makeover app and try on different hair! I do this pretty much any time I'm considering a new cut or color.

I can’t believe you haven’t figured this out on your own: your friends don’t want to go camping or go to the bar and they’re using money as an excuse. They are well aware that they could spend less money on video games. They just don’t want to come out and say, “camping sounds awful, fuck that,” so they pretend they

I’ve been watching The Path on Hulu and I like it. I also like Brooklyn 99, izombie, Broad City, @midnight, 11.22.63. I also recently started watching “in the flesh” and liked it but forgot about it, maybe I'll watch that tonight.

Nah, I'm 30 and I love snapchat. It's kinda hard to explain but it's fun. Me and my friends use it to exchange pictures of dogs/cats/babies/whatever. There are lots of filters in it like face swapping or one that makes you look like a dog or whatever. It's also a lot easier to share a video on snapchat than like via

Aquaphor!

Hahaha I love kids, they’re so weird. This is why I chose to teach high school.

The thread cuts off for me around the same time, too. We need Millihelen back :-(

I just bought nailtiques 2 today because of all your raving around here and xovain! I'll check in on the beauty thread next Saturday to let you know how I like it :)

I used to LOVE everyday minerals! That was the first foundation/powder/whatever I ever used regularly. I kind of forgot about it for a while, maybe I should go back.

YES. Honestly I was a drinker from ages 13 through 28, and the last couple years have just been this amazing journey of growing up and figuring out who I am and what I want without it all being clouded and confused and stunted by alcohol/drugs. I don't take the opportunity to brag very often but HELL YES SOBRIETY

I agree. I have complicated feelings in regards to AA. AA helped me through a really awful period of time when I first quit drinking, but I also didn’t feel the need to keep going after a which a lot of hardcore AA people assume means I’m drowning (I'm 2.5 years sober and doing well). I respect AA for what it did for

Revlon Colorstay works really well for me. It's like $12 at the drugstore here.

I’ve bought underwire swimsuits that I love from Torrid and LaneBryant/Cacique, check them out and see if they sell your size.

Same

Good point

Okay okay I'll keep going!

What's the new job? I am also considering leaving teaching!
