I had to stop reading halfway through. Why do we have to fucking dissect everything? Some people want to go have a crazy weekend, others want quiet and fun, others want nothing at all. Who cares? NOT EVERYTHING IS A MAJOR FEMINIST ISSUE.

The director, Taika Waititi, knows how to make a fun movie. Which is a giant lolfukyu to Thor: The Dark World. :D

I am ridiculously excited for this movie. I’m really happy to see that after making two Thor movies with a somewhat serious tone, the studio is going FUCK IT, WE’RE JUST GOING TO MAKE IT AN 80s METAL MOVIE.

And Hela. Is. Everything.

It’s actually how it works in many states, believe it or not. Rather than deal with chronic underfunding, the counties bill the parents for the costs of dealing with the situation, whatever it might be, on the rationale that it’s all their fault. Yet another way the system penalizes poor families.

My daughter was never removed from my home, but when she was four years old, I went to pick her up from pre-school and was handed a business card from a CPS worker and instructed to call. When I did, I was informed that they had sent someone out to the school to INTERVIEW my four year old because some “well-meaning”

After having my own kids get rung through the system for something that happened to them I am VERY wary of social services. My kids were the victims in this scenario and yet we had these people in our lives multiple times a week making both of our kids miserable in a way that I didn’t know was possible. My daughter

I’m not going to pretend that LP & Chester were only relevant in my teen years. I’m 42 and several of their albums are on my current playlists.

This just hit me so hard.

Anybody who calls him “cowardly” is a fucking asshole. Sometimes depression is terminal.

Three to seven years in prison for the parents!? THAT’S IT?!

I VERY much agree with that. But signing a new lease and being like, “ I want to breakup, I’m moving out tomorrow... Enjoy the full lease” is so beyond shitty...

Maybe not sign a lease, but I think it’s important to have a place to stay lined up, even if it’s sleeping on a friend’s couch for a week or two while finding someplace to live. It’s not fair to your partner to break up with them and then force them to share their space with you.

But putting “not being a dick” aside, what if this person can’t afford the rent? I would seriously be blown away if I heard of that happening to a friend, or that a friend was about to do that. Woman up, and have a conversation, then jump onto Craigslist.

I was also say no (agree, unless abusive), but more because can you float your new rent and your old rent? If you are on the lease, your rental agreement doesn’t care that you broke up. I would work out that first and then figure out what your plan is — I think you would need to find someone to sublet or he needs to

Also, if it makes you feel any better, they’ve been married for 21 years. He’s 69, meaning that he didn’t marry the “love of his life” until he was 48.

Welp, I’ve never felt more alone or single in my life. Thanks Ted!

I’d be more worried for the guy than for her.

A while ago, I was outside my house and I heard a familiar voice calling out to someone and I looked over, and it was Jenny Slate with some other people riding their bikes toward the park. She turned and looked at me and smiled as she biked past and it was all I could do not to jump up and down yelling “HI JENNY!!

“Honestly, yeah it’s terrible,” Paul said about his neighbors’ complaints. “It’s a bad situation. No, I feel bad for them, for sure. There’s nothing we can do, though. The Jake Paulers [Paul’s fans] are the strongest army out there. Dab.” And then he dabbed.

And then he dabbed.
