I hate touchpads. Can we return to knobs and buttons?

A nice torquey inline 6, a manual, some actual colors other than the ubiquitous shades of white/gray/black, a light colored interior and I buy today! I know none will happen though..😥

My wife has owned three cars since 1980. An 80 Buick Regal, and 1988 Corolla and her current 04 Corolla. I have purchased two vehicles this century, an 01 Tacoma and a 2010 Tacoma. The only repairs have been an AC compressor in her car and a steering rack in mine, both in 2022..

Screens are an abomination. I will likely only buy used cars sans screens for the remainder of my driving years, which I guesstimate to be about 25 years. Of course my 2010 Tacoma is not even to 150,000 miles yet, so I might be driving that until then.

The lack of savings by people has always astonished me. I started saving $100 a month in my third year of teaching in 1984. I brought home $1400 a month. I continued to live off that $1400 (about $4000 today)for many years after, and stuck each year’s raise in savings..

I read in these comments how it is wrong? for corporations to pass on the taxes to the customer. Who would do it differently? The Government does this to us every year one way or another. I did this to a school van when traveling to a baseball clinic. Luckily I only put a gallon or so in it before I realized my error. Finished filling up with diesel and prayed... It ran fine and we kept filling up to further dilute the gas I put in...🙄

54K less 10k in income tax, another 12k in rent, leaves 32 for living, saving, eating, clothing etc...say 6k for food , 2K for clothing, no savings because you’re young and dumb, now you’re down to 24 K left, or 2000 a.month... After cable, phone, internet, music, social life? Not sure you can even make the payments,…
