@davecort: Yep. I'm from the Mediterranean and I never had energy problems, or weight problems until I moved to the US. Here, I'm tired all the time, I gained weight and I don't feel very healthy. The protein-heavy diet americans have been brainwashed to believe you need for a healthy lifestyle is bull crap.
