Sad, sad, sad. Mr. Sutherland’s death was totally preventable and not necessary. Why were they even Tasing him? As a woman suffering from depression, anxiety and ptsd, this really makes me even more nervous and mistrustful of the police.

There have been multiple studies done that show White people’s lack of empathy for Black and other non-White people. I am so not surprised that another racist school assignment has popped up.

My great great uncle was executed by the state of Georgia during the 1920s, but it’s a deep dark secret in my family. I never knew about it until I was 36; a cousin living in California told me about him.
