I had zero luck with that site in NYC. So, me too. 

My first serious relationship ended when I was 27-ish. I’m glad it ended. I changed a lot in my late 20’s and realize now, at 33, that if we had stayed together a divorce would have been inevitable. Also, he ended up marrying someone who is legit my opposite. So, it was best for both of us. 

Or single when (sigh) they were married/ partnered up/ “ethically” cheating... 

Thank you! Agreed! It’s insane how expensive therapy is. We often complain about the price of other forms of medical intervention, but rarely is mental healthcare brought into the discussion. It goes to show how unfamiliar our society is to the needs of so many whom are suffering.

I should also add that the vast majority of people I have lashed out on did not deserve to be treated that way. My disease is not, nor will ever be, an excuse for the abuse. Post-initial diagnosis I did go back and try to (at the very least) apologize for my behavior to many of my victims.

Absolutely agree. There was/is a reason that the role of “mistress” was once coveted and celebrated, even by the respective spouses and family members. Same applies for brothel madams, and male homo- and heterosexual prostitutes.
