These cars are being designed to work within the existing infrastructure. The only difference is, more of them in the road makes it safer as the communicate with each other so they know what’s ahead, and only a little more needs to be done as far as maintaining roads. I would like to see a very fast moving system on Mars of one small relay comms base and many tiny robots that both disperse in the wind and land crawl and cover large areas quickly and relay data.
