@sulayman: I don't think they are talking about overexposure as you would be clipping (which is a bad thing), but trying to expose as far right as you can *without* clipping.

@sulayman: this is true, however if you are shooting in RAW (which if your camera has they capability you should be) then you may want to make two exposures, the first as seen and then looking at the histogram and realizing the sky is blown out, take another exposure for the sky and then bring the two together in PS.
