Some have argued the show set up her descent into madness for years, but it’s just not true. She was repeatedly given that opportunity and she always stepped back from the edge of insanity.
I think people ultimately just got worked up about Daenerys and Jaime not turning out to be “heroes” after people got emotionally invested in them. While I agree the execution and pacing could have been better, I suspect that they would have been disappointed regardless.
I think it could’ve been clearer but I’d still argue it’s all there in the episode and recent seasons. Let’s look at just the last two seasons.

Your statement is at odds with itself. You even managed to explain why its a green fuel; the CO2 being produced by biogas fuel used in combustion after its been captured has less of a negative effect than if the methane had been left to diffuse into the atmosphere.
I don’t see how the “deluded fools” banding together to defeat the existential threat is dumb because of the fact that one of the players decided to lie to them and then play free-rider. Also don’t see how the deluded fools achieving their goal really undermines the danger that was presented by the problem.

They goosed the Iron Man-Thor fight by having Thor inadvertently supercharge Iron Man to 400%. It’s the only way they could plausibly have that fight last more than a second.
