Ciara Renée gives Kendra a chronic case of pity face. Every time the camera dwells on her, I think okay, I get it. She's tragic. I'd feel it more if she hid it more.
Hmmmm. Point.
The public is not involved in Hydra, therefore they are not part of keeping the tradition alive.
Yes. I don't think the British royal family has had to draw lots to jump into some molten metal in hopes of making it to another world. I could be wrong.
Oh, right. I knew I remembered something bad happened. Still, it was the dynamics of the thing that made me think of it.
I could swear that fight where Brienne and Pod come to the rescue is the same fight that was staged in a different scene in ADWD. Except my fuzzy memory seems to recall that Brienne was wounded badly then?
Seven years. Here's what I found on the Wiki:
If he had been there. But he wasn't. He left her. And she's mad as hell and she isn't going to take it anymore. KGB, indeed!
Does anybody else think that Martha's breaking point came with the specific mention of the KGB? I think that up to that point, she could justify her actions by believing that "Clark" was merely gathering information for the Soviets in some obscure, less menacing way. He is, after all, the love of her life. That's why…
I've heard it as "under" but you could be right. I'll have to look it up.
"she's under his thrall" - really have to start using that phrase more often when it seems appropriate. As in, why doesn't she/he leave the bastard/bitch? She/he's under his/her thrall.
The words "privy", "privy council", and "private" are all related. The privy council is made up of the private group of courtiers who are privy to consulting with the king on the privy.
I think of it as a parking lot, so I think of it as a last resort.
I think I learned to call it the 5 in California. As in, how did you get here? Down 101 or the 5?
No, from Seattle. But I have relatives in Portland and years ago I used to drive through on a regular basis going to Dead shows or Country Fair.
How many of you have driven through Portland? There are bridges galore - there's this one place on the 5 where driving south it almost looks as if a lane change would take you onto another one, and then you realize that, oh, no, totally different road on a totally different level. I would have opted for beneath the…
Didn't anybody else notice little Alfred holding that great sword by the blade with one little hand? One hand on the hilt, of course, but he would have had to hold on tight if he wasn't to drop it, and one hand is definitely wrapped around the blade. So much for his sword arm? :)
Very cold water. Maybe too cold for little kids.
And yeah, the black guy gets kidnapped and then returned in an honorable manner? NOT. And while I'm at it, they saved the town from the ringleader, but the gang's still here. They're gonna settle down and raise chickens?
