Sadly i think you'll be wrong. I think Sammy will want to try and up the res from 720p on their high end phone(s) and so will have to settle with pentile.

Well the Galaxy Note & Nexus are Samsungs 2 newest devices and they are pentile so I don't think they have fixed it.

The problem is a lot of high res/dense OLED displayers are pentile, which makes the colours crappy.

I don't think a single of them consider themselves 'participating in a kind of theater / advertising for Apple's benefit', they are just excited about a product that they want.

Ah the Xoom, I remember when that does going to "kill the iPad".

It didn't work on youtube for me, iTunes and Spotify were fine. It definitely has a 'sweet spot'.
