I’m glad you called it the California Squat. I’ve seen it referred to as the Carolina Squat, but I never saw one like that when I lived in the South. I was in California last week and I saw several. It’s definitely a California thing and not a Southeast thing. Either way, it’s a bizarre thing.

I wish I was in the position to buy a new car. I could run over there and be like “GTI me, bitch!” and they’d fall all over themselves. Maybe not. I dunno.

Technically, its still registered as a Lotus Exige

From 30HP

Lamborghini cars should be limited to 15mph from the factory.

2015 brought this beautiful beast into my stable. 1987 Chrysler LeBaron wagon with a SRT-4 swap, and a Mopar Stage 2 setup in it. Yes, this is the one that was on the NPOCP a few years ago. It’s everything I wanted it to be and more. I absolutely love driving it, it’s very comfortable, and fast. I had to fix a few

I thought Svartpilen was the “black arrow” model.
Vitpilen means “white arrow” and was the cafe racer model.

Totally depends on the tire. I upsized from 185/65/15s to 205/60/15s, and after accounting for the difference in size, I lost less than 2. Well worth it for me, the HydroEdges stick so much better, especially in the rain we get at least 6 months of the year. I put HEs on my wife’s in the stock size and lost MAYBE 0.5

Same as all the deadbeat dads who knock up women and run. We really have achieved equality!

I took no offense at all. Truthfully GM did a rotten job advertising the first volt and not many people understood it. I think that's why they are spending so much on advertising the new one.

I’ll repeat what I said to another guy.

New one gets 42-43 mpg average once the battery is used. It’s starting price is about 34k - 7500 federal ($26,500). For the great majority of people, the Volt will be the cheapest car to own of the various hybrids

The first gen volt gets about 25-30 mpg after its batteries deplete.

Jason, this is awesome. You’re spot on correct it’s an enthusiast car. I’m a tiny car enthusiast, so I empathize with the high mileage set. Not the same kind of tiny car enthusiast as you, although I know you’re enthusiastic about tiny cars, too. Anyway, there are many aspects of automobiles to get excited about. I

Yup. As much as I speed and slide around empty corners, even I’m growing out of the idea that every commute is a race. At least with a Prius I’d have a comfortable space to sit in and MPG numbers to watch (I’m aware that other new cars tell you what MPG you’re getting too). And for all the people saying Volt...

Pictured above:“Not a DeLorean.”

Is this a trick? Did you even read the article? Do you think Supras have V12s? A V12 swapped, or more preferably in the case of the Corvette, Mustang, or Caddy engineered and built by its parent company would just be better. I would certainly hope anyone with a soul would agree they would rather have a V12 if they
