Walker would be a good consensus candidate. If the base rejects Bush and Romney, and the establishment / sane wing of the party rejects Carson, Cruz, and the like, then they all might agree on Walker.

"Weak insult" is an understatement. It's like a zero-effort insult. At least put some emotion or wordplay into it. The real Jack Kennedy would disagree with that comment, but he would also disapprove of the shoddy rhetoric involved.
This was a really good episode for him, probably the best since Jane broke up with him. He's dealing with his feelings towards her in a healthier way, and also making a lot of progress on the case. So yeah, hopefully that doesn't mean he's about to die.
A pretty good portion of the ones I've met have. My local Young Republican chapter has at least 3 services represented. But it really, really isn't for everyone. "I know I'm not mentally/physically cut out for it" is a fine reason not to join up, even if you could make it past the screening.
A lot of veterans get fat after they leave the service, when they no longer have anyone forcing them to stay in shape, or because they have messed up joints or whatever.
Family surnames aren't a thing in Iceland. Johan's son will be Johansson, Robert's son will be Robertson, Johan's daughter will be Johansdottir, etc.
I knew what island they were talking about, and I knew that it was pretty much the only one that Europeans settled in the 1490s, rather than the 1500s. But for some reason I was thinking it was called Santo Domingo rather than Hispaniola, which would have been wrong.
I saw The Interview in a packed independent theater on the 26th. It was both funnier and more politically relevant than I had feared. The narrative with the whole controversy was "wow it's ironic that this bullshit Seth Rogen stoner comedy is creating an international incident." But it did portray a positive view of…

They were still airing ads for it on last night's Daily Show and Colbert Report. That was pretty surreal.
As far as I can tell, TWoP was archived kind of haphazardly earlier this year, and a lot of the reviews are missing or won't load properly. But I would say they're worth checking out on the following Internet Archive link.
Between that and Brooklyn 99's win last year, they're certainly willing to pick up-and-coming comedies after a handful of episodes. It's a nice change from the stunning lack of creativity in the drama category.
In fairness Georgia Republicans statewide had no use for Gingrey. He ran for the Senate and got a distant 4th in the Republican primary.
In the books, District 13 was well known to district residents as "the place the Capitol bombed to rubble." As for why they didn't use their resources to help out earlier, Katniss calls out Boggs for that in the book and film, and Boggs is like, "yeah well, we had problems too, or whatever." District 13's inaction is…
I watch Reign and Jane the Virgin, but I didn't realize until now that Yael Grobglas was on both shows. I guess the "put her on a boat to the New World" plotline was rather fitting.
In 2010, who would have thought that of all the Spartacus actors, Jai Courtney would be the one to really hit it big. Nothing against the guy, but he was definitely the least interesting member of that cast.
Yeah. I'm the guy who doesn't write alternate history and just hangs out in the election threads all the time.
If you haven't seen her interview with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show last month, it's a must-watch. She was unbelievably charming.
Man, you can definitely overthink this Final Jeopardy clue, because there were a lot of small battlefields around the area in addition to Bull Run. And Arlington Cemetery wasn't up and running until years after the battle, so if you're thinking "first major battle, first monument" then that's not how it went down.
The womb thing is so straightforward that I'm kind of shocked people aren't getting it.
