It does seem that she both left it rather last minute (in the scheme of these things); is seeking a free, custom outfit from only a selection of probably top lines; and is interpreting refusals as body-shaming (either purposely or ignorantly).
The Grammys are; she isn’t. There’s no guarantee she’ll get enough airtime for it to be worth it for a designer to put in the time and effort to dress her when they have much bigger fish they can’t go after.
There are 84 categories in the grammys and most nominees won’t get shown on television or magazines is probably why, but then again she is up for one of the bigger awards.
