The ATCQ album was tops on my list and the only thing that sniffed it was SLC’s SubRosa with their mind-altering “For This We Fought The Battle Of Ages”, a marvelous post-rock/metal record based on a 100-year-old dystopian Russian novel that haunts and rocks:

Fiji Rugby winning the first ever Olympics 7s tournament and also their country’s first ever gold medal. All the giants got down on their knees so “random-royal” could put the medal around their neck which was amazing to watch.
