Kiwanuka vs. Aloe Blacc vs. Leon Bridges: 3 men enter, only one leaves with his vintage suit and sound intact!

Let me take your point a few steps further and ask "Why do we assume Bailey is a 'good guy'?" He's been shown as inept at his job from day one, the flashback only shows his general mediocrity and when given a chance to actually do good and stop the violence between Crazy Eyes and Kukudio, he leaves and visits Donuts

But how does that criticism actually work when writing drama? No LGBT characters can die at all? In the context of this show, one could also criticize Mr. Robot for dealing in the "Woman in the Fridge" trope with the murder and discovery of Shayla in S1. But I would like to think that the density and well-craftedness

Between this and House of Cards that's two for two in living incompetently.

"Get the fuck out of my cubicle" also makes the cut of great Angela lines. Being in middle management, I can attest that the way she handled that Bloomberg/co worker situation was highly enjoyable.

Nancy Grace played herself, the Obama press conference was a blend of real life clips and a voice impersonator speaking the "Tyrell Wellick" & "fsociety" parts. Confirmed on Hit Fix in Sepinwall's review, IIRC.

Not real to what extent? Like he's another personality? I guess it's possible. Even the scene at the basketball court could be interpreted such. Leon throws the ball and faces down the ball player. All the while, Elliot is in the background. The real test would be if Leon and Mr. Robot interact. But how would the show

Indeed, having a "Best Of" comedy list does seem like an exercise in futility. Apologies for misreading your previous comment.

I don't know. Plot a mess? Ok. But too many villains? Max Shreck and Penguin working together through political machinations only for Catwoman to show up and (in one case literally) blow up the proceedings of scorn. That always seemed better than standard "let's have Bad Guy 1-3 all have huge fights with the Good Guy."

Well that Black Mirror episode puts the"graphic" in "biographical"…

I just clicked on this article so I could rewatch the fan film. It was just as entertaining as the first time I watched. Now knowing that one of the creators produced Dredd explains the violence/sexuality combination found here. Not a bad thing, just an observation.

I read this and instantly thought of "Tanaka" from Man Seeking Woman

WHAS has some of the biggest comedy stars of today in their first lead roles plus established actors (Meloni, David Hyde Pierce, Garafolo) in funny supporting roles. It's like a Murderer's Row of comedy but you don't think it's better than Finding Nemo?

I don't understand the point of skipping the first season of a show. Parks and Recreation is a perfect example. Without watching that first half of S1, you experience a show much more fully formed than it was actually. To me, I appreciate the improvements made by the writing staff as the show progressed.

I wrote a response to a writer's similar criticism of this season on Medium so I'll try not to simply repeat myself here. But if nostalgia blindness is an increasing cultural phenomena then "novelty" blindness has to be as well. The audience overlooks states in a second or third season of a critically acclaimed show,

Wow, so many thoughts about Fringe.
First, I have to admit I did ignore the show during its initial run, even after my mother recommended it because I thought it was just an X Files knockoff.
But a few years ago, I started watching it on Netflix, and oh man, I was hooked. Hooked to the point that I started reading old

I would say Ronnie was more under-used. Other than getting the side of his face fricaesseed, I struggle to remember anything of note with his character.

That damn mini-arc! Only time I actually felt bad for Wilson during the entirety of House.

What's wrong with "texts"? It's how the world communicates nowadays. Didn't know the AV Club was anti-SMS…
