Let me summarize on behalf of many Internet commenters: Love the book, loved/was terrified of the movie, fuck this remake.

Was really surprised by how good Book of Negroes has been. Caught the middle installments and it is quite riveting…
To be fair, hardly anybody watched the Michael J. Fox Show.
Oh My God, what the hell was Red Hook Summer?! Not the what movie I've seen but definitely one of the most bipolar. And no, the child actors did not being anything to it.
They have to know his name is Cliff and that he's on a cliff and that Cliff & cliff is the same. It's too cerebral, were making a movie here not a film!
FYI this movie is responsible for me thinking that Christine Baranski was legit crazy (I was like twelve when I saw it).
Lucifer: "But I'm a God-damned cop!"
No Animaniacs or Batman: The Animated Series? This list is a little suspect, AV Club..
Just came here to say Dornan kills it on The Fall opposite Gillian Anderson. He has more than the genetic serial killer craziness. He projects a combination of menace when alone and vulnerability when he's with his daughter. Looking forward to see if this show is any good.
This might be the best one yet…
Agree x100. I'm fine with play call but if you're gonna throw it, go to the sidelines or chuck it to the back of the endzone. Put it in a spot where it's either a catch or incompletion.
I just wanna wade into the fray to say I watched that movie in theaters with friends and it was add hilariously bad as it looks. But even then Evans showed that he was more than capable of physical action scenes.
Stole the words of my keyboard.
I've always found the complaints about Hat interesting, especially on AV club. I will say his first hosting gig was a bit flat but it seemed like he didn't have material really written for him as a comic. Yeah he's loud and subtle punchlines were never his thing (even in his early standup) but his deconstruction of…
The Profit Margin… Is Out There.
Given the majority of responses so far, I'm assuming most commentators just figured tl;dr as far Califano's piece in The Washington Post. Allow me to shed some light into why his "criticism" is completely off-base. He writes, "Selma was LBJ's idea". That's a direct quote. He spends the entire article trying to use…
I got this on Redbox shortly after seeing Taken, fully expecting wolf punching. Not only were my wife & I surprised, I was genuinely sad esp. *SPOILER* when the 2nd to last crew member drowns after getting his leg stuck. I was so sure a couple people would survive. It reminded me of the 1st time I saw Fallen. Knowing…
7yo me loved Nash Bridges. 7yo me also thought the Fantastic Four movie was real. I remember seeing the trailer in the movies and then…nothing.
"Did you just say Abe Lincoln?"
"No man. I said Hey, Blinken!"
That's why I always start Pestilence in my Four Horsemen Fantasy League.
No about Fringe, I will defend it until the death and it had one of the best series finales, capped off with the White Tulip. Plus I love "Peter, you are my favorite thing."
