Looks like the servers are already back up lol, the point stands but as you posted this article people are on, maybe should’ve posted this hours ago if you were looking for a slam dunk.

his name is David Zazloff.

I have no sympathy here. If you’re stupid enough to give a company 30 dollars for less than a handful of days, you’re already fleecing yourself, might as well have the company fleece you too with subpar service.

fuck gacha. and why the hell are you promoting it on Kotaku, of all places.

Would be nice if they ported this to PC and consoles. Without the MTX.

I mean, this is the company that is laying off 2,000 people while simultaneously giving Bobby ~Fucking~ Kotick a gigantic golden parachute of $400 million.

If for some reason I’ve left my Switch, Steam Deck, Analogue Pocket or phone behind, I think $46 bucks a day is OK if my layover is like four or more hours.

After weeks of discourse from anyone who plays games about how PalWorld is ripping off the Pokémon IP by making closely adjacent character models and “inspired by” designs, and articles published here spotlighting people online simply comparing those models… we’re just gonna gloss over the fact that someone was trying

I know that mankind divided had a lot of flaws - it’s fairly short length and abrupt ending among them, but it did a LOT right. It’s world building was so well fleshed out. If you get an Owlcat game it likely wont be complete and bug free two years and 200 patches after release date.

They weren’t too much, actually.

As recent as Forza, I saw someone defending always-online requirements with “You’re going to be playing this at home...where you obviously have an internet connection. I fail to see why this is even a concern tbh

Just your routine reminder that paying for early access really means you are likely paying more for an unfinished product.  Nothing to see here.

A toast to every “Buyer beware”-ignoring idiot who paid extra money for early access - and perpetuated one of the worst elements of pre-order game distribution - getting what they deserved.

middling at absolute best, insulting is probably more apt. they took Black Flag and just absolutely gutted all the personality and removed ground combat and playable boarding. honestly it’s kind of sad but we’re talking Ubisoft in 2024 folks, nothing to see here.

Given the infamous development of this game, “middling” is about the best anybody should hope for.
