That supposed “built-in advantage” for red states is actually a check to the obvious advantage democrats have enjoyed in major metropolitan areas.

Thanks for mentioning this. There was a side-to-side, two-on-two beach volleyball arcade game about 25 years ago that was a blast to play. Was it Championship V’Ball Volleyball or something like that?
Hopefully another Gen X’er already mentioned it, but NHL 93 on Super NES was extremely fun. To this day, my brother (42) and I (44) still play it whenever we get together. And, yes, if I pause the game to get a drink, he still removes my goalie while I’m out of the room. Dick...
Oh, BURN!!! You’re a regular Henny Youngman. Emotional, heartstring-tugging personal anecdotes such as Mr. Ryan’s will always beg logical questions to lend context and rationality to their stories. Hopefully, his story was sincere and he’s not simply some dude in an accounting department with an axe to grind and an…
I have SO many questions about Mr. Ryan’s heavy-handed anecdote, his family history and current personal circumstances, I hardly know where to begin!
I was surprised how slowly anyone was to respond her as she’s laying on the grass effing crying for help!
My heart started to race while reading your article. And every time I read or hear something about the trials and tribulations of life in Brooklyn, I want to ask, is the lifestyle really worth all the trouble?
“Career-planning advice”?
It’a not necessarily that Fox sucks at broadcasting golf, it’s that Joe “I want to f*** my own voice” Buck sucks at broadcasting golf.
But hey, democracy, right?
Here in Charleston, SC, hundreds of millions of obnoxious, OSU-clad, minivan-driving Ohioans visit every year - with far too many having trouble finding their way back to their awful, G0d-forsaken state. So many uninvited Ohioans were migrating to Charleston (now also unfortunately attracting a ton of pretentious…
Go to Youtube and watch the 60 Minutes piece. Just make sure you’re sitting down.
I think there were more fouls called in this year’s All-Star game.
The “seas parted for Kevin Durant”? Please. If James and Korver gave me as little challenge as they did Durant, I could be in the damned highlight.
Okay, but why would the NHL be in the tank for the Penguins? The Pittsburgh market may be a top 10 hockey town, but I can’t imagine it’s the most fiscally important.
Title IX’s days, as we know it, are numbered anyway. It’s only a matter of time before it implodes when the first transgender woman files a Title IX complaint against a school for not making the ladies women’s basketball team.
My ten mile daily commute takes me over a nearly mile-long bridge everyday. And each morning there is a gentleman that, during his walk back and forth across the bridge, picks up and bags trash he encounters. No one asked him to do it, but he does it presumably because he cares about his health and the bridge’s…
Agreed. As a very casual gamer I found Ninja Gaiden for XBOX to be very quite difficult.
I do, too. I read the entire story from latimes.com (a link to which, btw, is not included in the Deadspin article) and that’s exactly my point. People will read only the headline, mistakeningly assuming the cops shot some poor guy simply because he stole a van, not because he drew and pointed a gun at that them.
The story’s original headline, not my one-sentence analysis and summary of it, contains the absurd conclusion, specifically that the cops shot and killed a guy simply because he stole a vehicle.
