So, what exactly do you find offensive, the swastika; the symbolism of a Christian church absorbing (read: defeating) it; or the obvious feel-good patriotism on display? I suspect it’s all three.

Excellent story, Ms. King! I’m not a NASCAR fan, and after reading your article I remember why. Their product becomes more contrived and convoluted every “season.”
