For all these guys saying to swap the engine, the correct answer is Porsche V-8 as that’s what apparently played the voice of the time machine in BTTF.

How hard is it to take the trash out of your car for pics?
When will I be able to buy this badge for my VW?
Would be NP if the red were more red and a huge F40 wing lived here. Batshit crazy > regular crazy.
Carlashes would be right at home here. I hate myself for saying that.
At first glance I saw the Batman symbol here
Cylinders are essentially big holes in the block. A V8 has more holes than an I6, therefore must be lighter. It’s physics.
Following this from another site, it sounds like some number of hull drain plugs were mistakenly left out prior to the water landing (oops). By the time you figure that one out, it’s way too late to take off again. What they did do was quickly taxi from open water to the beach so that if it did sink it could only go…
You want trial by fire? My first car was a brand new manual 2007 VW which I didn’t even test drive before buying. I signed all the stuff, jumped in my new car, hoped I wouldn’t screw up too bad and drove away.
The big problem with carrying stuff in sedans is that the inside may be big enough to bring that new (TV/patio chair/mini fridge/lawnmower/whatever) home but none of the openings in the car are big enough to fit it through.
I can honestly barely contain my excitement at all the weird here. There is no picture possible that doesn’t showcase something a little odd or straight up batshit crazy and I love that this exists as something that was mass produced. The world is a better place because of oddballs like this.
Cozy.
Aw man, I thought this thing was a quirky DD until I saw it was a damn drag car. CP.
Is this line normal? This line can’t be normal.
This engine is unexpectedly pretty.
Wanna wreck a truck’s front end? Put a plow on it. Whoever buys this will want to look into re-bushing EVERYTHING in the front steering and suspension as a bare minimum. In my experience a two year old modern truck that has seen two winters of plowing can barely stay in a highway lane.
Somebody needs to buy it just so they can fund this guy's next build.
There's just a wealth of horrifying details in these pictures and the longer I look the more I see. Note how there's a little ski on the big ski here. I bet this thing has rolled over at least once before those surfboards were installed...
ABS plastic pipe, because if it's good enough to flush poop down it's probably good enough as a bumper.
Who wouldn't want a nice, warm spare for those winter time flats?
