In my experience and my time on the internet, men are rarely told that they need therapy. Their dysfunctional habits are justified and normalized. And I'm not saying Lawrence doesn't need to talk to his friends, he should open up about his feelings.

Yes. Having sex with someone else to not deal with your feelings is a clear cut case of emotional dysfunction. That is what a lot of men are socialized TO DO. A lot of men need therapy and are dysfunctional as a result. That's not a healthy coping mechanism and it ends up hurting a lot more people in the end.
