One of my favorite elements of BOTW is the degree to which it lets you play your own game. My gf played it before I did and was shocked and confused that I played BOTW basically as a stealth game for like the first 20 or so hours. I avoided almost every fight if I could and focused on getting shrines down.

From what Eddings and a few others said, this is EXACTLY what happened. There have been some profoundly shitty and shallowly researched articles on this, including on this site, that are at least partially responsible for the completely unjustified pushback against PJ and Sruthi resigning in disgrace

Y’know, you’re right. Revising my earlier statement: BoP is number one, Shazam is a tight number 2, and everything else lags far behind

Yeah, it’s weird that this article seemingly doesn’t know that there were two Jet Set games. And that the second one is 1000000x better

It’s not a great movie, but it’s BY FAR the best DCU movie. The character progression and “we’re a family” moments hit a lot harder in BoP than Suicide Squad or Justice League, the entire aesthetic is a fucking riot of colors, and it’s just generally a movie that you can watch without being swamped in grimdark mire. I

“Bigoted” LMAOOO eat shit

Echo is Singaporean, supposedly. But I’m with you on everything else: they’ve purposely made choices that could have led to greater diversity and didn’t

I’m not against the animated shows, but we just have SO MUCH STUFF to watch. Gf still hasn’t seen The Wire, we never finished the Sopranos, we just started 30 Coins on HBOMax because it looks awesome (and one ep deep, it is), etc etc

It’s fucking killer. Even though I haven’t followed the various animated series, I was fucking PUMPED for Tano tracking Thrawn down

HUH, I must have missed “the temple” part. I thought he was just important due to being a Yoda-type creature and being force-sensitive. Oh, and the healing abilities that were extremely potent. Thanks!

IIRC Christensen has said outright that he was too inexperienced to do so much green screen work. That’s a LOT of emoting either with nothing to respond to or responding to a guy wearing a goofy prosthetic head and shades over his eyes. It’s baffling that Lucas didn’t think to cast a shitload more actors with

This is honestly a terrible article to base your opinions on, because it doesn’t even scratch the surface of the degree to which PJ and Sruthi reportedly obstructed diversity efforts along with the unionization, marginalized their employees of color, stepped all over certain editorial mandates (ETA: IIRC), and then

I truly thought “Cruella” was the nadir of modern revisionism, but “Wednesday” is REALLY giving it a run for its money. “Psychic abilities”? “A mysterious killer”??? This is like a parody of modern TV shows

So it’s the same as Odyssey’s couch co-op? That’s a good thing for me

This has been happening more and more for both Hulu and IIRC Netflix. They must see some kind of push to watch movies when that “Expiring” label hits

If they put Wind Waker, Ocarina, and Majora on the same cartridge, they would probably shut down the internet single handedly

Oh shit, you’re right; wish I could edit that. Thanks for the correction

God, that fucking storyline . . . I adore Grant Morrison’s run on Batman, but the Omega Beam-time travel thing was just so goddamn stupid. Like he wrote the ending first and then had to contrive ways to resolve the story

Superhero comics as a monolithic entity kinda suck right now, though. There are individual bright spots (I’m catching up on Immortal Hulk rn, and HOOOOOOLY SHIT it’s really fucking good), but the Big Two are both INCREDIBLY inconsistent

Gotta disagree about “Athletic.” I think they always wanted it to sound like a player piano; that was always the impression I got, from literally the first time I heard it. Has this alpine/western feel to it; there’s a reason they always played it for levels that take place up in the sky
