I saw that movie, then a week later was in NYC for the first time visiting my uncle who was staying in a hotel overlooking the crater. It was a fucking trip talking to some cops about it just outside.

Nah. He’s monotone, disinterested, and boring.
I still think 25th Hour is the definitive post-9/11 movie, as well as an incredibly true perspective of someone who really and truly hates themself
I had a sinking suspicion that would be the case, since the touchpad is doing a LOT of heavy lifting and not always doing it well. Who tf knows if I’ll even make it that far, though.
This is an insane take that I can in no way endorse. Listen, Ansel Elgort might be a black hole of charisma onscreen, but the dialogue is tight, the musical touches are extremely well thought out, and the chase scenes are impeccable
That FF14 trial going on right now is the big one; a friend and I have been debating playing it and making it a regular occurrence but it costs SO DAMN MUCH for something I’m worried I’d get sick of eventually. This is also the first MMORPG I’ve ever played, so it’s tough really getting into it, especially since I’m…
Best Mega Man IMO
I’d buy into this more if there weren’t so. damn. many. of them. I like that he follows his muse and does projects that interest him, but at some point you need to take some career advice
JLG seems to exclusively pick bad movies when the director isn’t actively courting him for the project (Brick, Inception, etc). Jamie Foxx meanwhile is phenomenal in nearly everything he does; he’s BY FAR the best part of the second Andrew Garfield Spider Man movie
I know exactly what section you’re in, and yeah: it’s ROUGH, but also tense and gripping in a way few FFs are IMO. FF9 is funny because it has one of the best FF stories and an incredibly solid infrastructure surrounding the combat (I might be weird in that I unabashedly love the skill system, since it rewards grind…
Barry Zuckercorn, all the way
I remember that too, but it always seemed like a paltry fig leaf for Bacon’s descent into psychosis
Anything from Treehouse is tasty for sure, but MY GOD, actually buying it just isn’t fucking worth it. Make friends who are willing to deal with that rigamarole, because that brewery is an arduous process, and generally not worth the trip
I don’t know that I’ve seen one Takeout article where the writers position it as this idyllic pizza heaven that no other slice can match. They’ve just tried to correct the record, since non-Chicagoans think we eat deep dish to the exclusion of all other slices. It’s more about correcting the record IMO. If there’s an…
Here’s an actual article where people with actual qualifications discuss how strong a case Tezuka’s estate would have had against Disney. Their conclusion: very strong. Who gives a shit about some Youtuber screaming opinions to suit the facts they choose to perceive? Here’s the search if you can handle reading and not…
Look up Kemba The White Lion
It’s SO good. Give it some time, since it takes a while to really get a feel for parries/dodges/etc. The stages get super rewarding
It is objectively the best theme
Would love a follow up!
So, we used to live in CT and would order from Frank Pepe’s all the time because it was inexplicably one of only two pizza spots we could find that made an acceptable pie, but their sausage was fucking TERRIBLE: bland, boring, and, like, flaccid. Now you’ve got me wondering if good sausage is only central to Chicago…
