Oh christ, you just reminded me that’s on my backlog list too. THANKS A LOT, STONCILS

I guess I’m a bit confused, because I don’t think of any FF after 6 or so having “fast paced” storylines. For me, I like XII’s story a LOT because it’s REALLY grounded, especially in comparison to a lot of other FF storylines; IIRC, the world ending stuff that’s compulsory in FFs doesn’t show up until around the final…
Tbh, I had played X a year or so before XII and absolutely HATED it. I still beat it, and got a shitload of Summons, but only had the patience for a few ultimate weapons, because the lightning dodging and chocobo racing were so goddamn asinine. It’s a gorgeous game, but the story is absolute nonsense and the gameplay…
TIL. Literally had no idea there was a “Kohler Chocolates”.
This is kinda silly, but I actually made a list of the games I want to beat before I’m “allowed” to buy new games. I have a Leichtturm planner on me at all times, and I wrote a list in the back of the games I have in my backlog, and then the games I’ll reward myself with buying once it’s done. It’s proven to be a…
Did it get yanked off Hulu? That’s a shame. I’d be interested in seeing it now
I know your pain. I will say, though: it feels fucking AWESOME clearing a game out of the backlog or checklist.
But seriously: why haven’t the Cardassians had him committed? Even just for a little while? Has Cudi tried to take him aside and have some words? Is that why Kids See Ghosts seemingly came and went in like three breaths? These are not the words of a mentally healthy person.
It’s totally true, I totally agree, I hate it when people say “it gets REALLY good after 50 hours”, and Schreier was dead right when he said games are too long. But really and truly, 12 becomes INCREDIBLE when you can start getting the high level loot, and the bounties get better.
Ok, clearly I’ve been missing something. Half my family lives in Sheboygan and I don’t know of any kind of candy stronghold in Kohler; it’s more of a bratwurst stronghold (which of course has its own merits)
His username is “KotakuInAction” which is also the name of a subreddit for extremely online types to get together and bitch about it being a home for SJWs and shit. He’s already got a marble for a brain
I wish I could give this comment a thousand stars. Perfectly put
There is a stretch in the game that definitely drags. IIRC, it’s basically the section where you’re hacking your way through several different ecologies to get to a city, and it’s either just before or just after you get your first companion.
This is what I keep getting hung up on. The story is solid and twisty (and a lot more grounded than other FFs), the fetch quests have great rewards, and you can tune the party a lot more than past games. I’m going to finish FF9 this week, and MY GOD the combat is so annoying. The lag between when you enter a command…
I honestly get queasy looking at photos of Charles and Star. They don’t look human. I’ve seen RealGirls that looked more realistic than them
I got to like 90% done with the PS4 version, then put it down to play Nier, but I’ve been thinking about picking it back up to get all the Ultimate weapons and wrap up the story. This is a perfect incentivizer!
I will fight anyone who wants to argue that XII is NOT the greatest FF of all time. Meet me in Temecula!
I’m pretty convinced that Meg Whitman is actually, like, a balding white man in a costume. There’s no other explanation for how consistently she fails upward
Obra Dinn is a fucking TRIP, in the best possible way. I’m currently playing it with my gf taking notes on a spreadsheet we threw together, which I HIGHLY recommend. There are so many side stories and things to keep track of that I honestly can’t imagine playing it solo
I REALLY liked Blasphemous. It felt very Souls-y while still being its own thing, and the setting was really cool, like a heavy metal Catholicism. IIRC the devs may or may not be currently working to add a piece of DLC, but I might be making that up
