“This article is a stub. You can help by expanding it.” on the small penis rule page is the best (probably-)unintentional joke I’ve come across in eight years of writing this column.

The thriller genre in particular seems to be crowded with authors with strikingly reactionary political and social views. That was always a pretty obvious feature of the Tom Clancy novels, but it seems to characterize the genre as a whole - or at least it’s been true of authors I’ve recently sampled.

Haven’t we all had enough Billy Joel for one lifetime?

Yeah, you might just be more indulgent than me. For the record, Charles’ response to both performances was cruel and unacceptable.

You mean the one that has a Bad Guy who briefly convinces the Good Guys they disagree until they realize they should put their differences aside and punch the Bad Guy?

Christ. You know what? I am now 100 percent pro-Hillbilly Elegy. Laughable trash about Americans that at least has the decency to cast American actors. Ron Howard is a hero.

Thanks for your service, veterans! Hope you enjoy really cheesy, shitty-looking, sub-Waking Life rotoscoping!

Looks fine to me?

Seems more like an excuse to leave a miserable show.

I read this book as well, and I thought the film captured it quite perfectly. It had such a profound effect on me, that I dropped out of university for a year and then quickly realized that it’s difficult to make a life for yourself when deviate too much from the rules lol. So either I’ve grown up or I lost a part of

i saw the struggle there too. the mask is now scorched and his breathing is even more labored. the lighting helps a lot too. him turning from his son’s face to the emperors multiple times, the angle of his head turned down when it used to be held stiff and straight ahead. Prouse did a good job.

I have 2 interpretations for the actual ending:

I am not sure if she was ever abused by their father, but the fact that her screenname (not to mention her iconic heart-shaped sunglasses) is Dolores Haze (the eponymous Lolita) suggests that there was abuse at some point in her life.

Okay, I have only watched up to the third episode, but my big problem with this show aside from the obvious ones, is that nobody mentions survivor’s guilt to the poor girl that got the heart and lived. And, nobody who lives in that part of the country would be okay with a rodent living in their house because that’s
