I’ve enjoyed the journey, but I’m not sure I’d have made it this far were it not for the lack of competition in terms of quality, ambitious shows made for adults I haven’t seen yet.
This season’s dialogue is all telling, no showing. Too many subplots/characters, not enough room for things to just breathe--which used to be something the show was surprisingly good at, even if it’s always been a little busy on the plotting side of things.
Is it the wig? Or is that every time I look at her forehead I’m distracted trying to figure out how much of its texture is real and how much is digital aging effects?

The showrunners have already said they’re ready to move on from “scenic Southwestern vistas ravaged by meth” (not an exact quote but close) and move on to something new.
I mix and match throughout the year depending on what I want to watch. Every time I’m about to cancel my HBO or Apple TV membership, they announce some new show I really want to see (i.e. The Essex Serpent).
