Also, totally unrelated to anything else I’ve said in these comments: SAINT MAUD IS GALADRIEL?!?!

It was more a comment on the relative prominence/merits of each than a plea for people to be “paid fairly.” (Although I do think that’s a pretty laudable goal in general, despite not knowing much about the salaries paid to non-movie star actors/behind-the-camera talent.)

They keep calling attention to the fact that there are four ninjas, and I keep thinking about the four local pastors who object to the Gemstones’ business plan in the pilot...

The breakup scene was pitch perfect. Improvising an obvious lie during an awkward situation—and then fully committing long after it’s clear no one believes you—has got to be one of the few truly universal adolescent experiences.

As we all know, when Euphoria succeeds, it is in spite, not because, of Sam Levinson.

So, based on that trailer, how much of that $465 mill went to on-scene talent and how much went to virtual effects, do we think?

I definitely thought it was supposed to be a play on how deeply uncool Yasper and Eugene are (see their names).

I knew I liked you and the Cake reference clinches it.

There was a good 5 or so years during my school days when my favorite restaurant featured the strip on their order numbers. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I do not like either of these bands. But I am confused that the worst diss one can come up with is “has brown hair”?

It’s a symptom of

Agreed. He needs to marry well to keep up his family’s status (not just a mother but an aunt to support!) and Gladys is “perfect” because he actually likes her as a person.

Also: screw all of these white men at the center of local color narratives and give me my damn Walter Mosley series already.
