I understand that there is no relation between the appeal and the trial. They still can affect each other, not in the fact that one originated from the other, but in the influence of one on the other. Still, the jury could easily be sequestered to prevent this.

I can't wait until the Comedy Bang! Bang!/Welcome to Nightvale/Serial crossover. I really want to see how Cecil and Adnan juggle work and family.

Still, from a legal point of view, Adnan must be freed since there still is some reasonable doubt about whether he did it. I wonder how the podcast though will influence the new trial and if they'll consider it during proceedings.

It's better just to forget Fu Manchu and pretend like Sellars' last role was "Being There."

WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB to that!

I'm not sure about how much to look forward to Father John Misty's new album. On the one hand, "Bored in the USA" was somewhere between brilliant and interesting. On the other hand, "Chateau Lobby #4" was nowhere near as good. Hopefully, he'll stay on the Randy Newman route of "Bored in the USA."

Speaking of popinions, is anyone here going to Poptastrophe this year? I hear the Resistance is going to make a surprise appearance this year.

"The plot is slightly reminiscent of the Better Off Ted episode where Phil as the lemur in Linda’s children’s book."

I wonder if the protagonist ever says that Love Is Dead or tells who he went to prom, "Revenge is Sweet, and So are You." It's no surprise though that he gets a girlfriend. After all, even Hitler had a girlfriend.

The A.V. Club: Funny, mean, and sad, and all in the right way.

At least Gethard made it onto the comedy special list this year.

Any show that gives Andy Daly the chance to be a future sadistic Mayor of Hollywood should automatically be in the best shows of 2014. Comedy Bang Bang is far too unappreciated this season.

"RUN THEM JEWELS FAST RUN THEM RUN THEM JEWELS FAST RUN THEM RUN THEM RUN THEM RUN THEM FUCK THE SLO-MO"

I'm honestly not sure how to interpret it either, but the Letterman performance really was convincing that Misty is brilliant on some level.

"West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys. The GWAR cover really reminded me how great the original was and how perfect Neil Tennant's lyrics were for the song.

WUB A LUB A DUB DUB!

Review being named a top show of 2014: Five Stars
Review getting a second season: (Hopefully) Five Stars.

Time to start a "favorite songs of 2014" list thread!

Question: Is he still accepting TAs to grade end-of-the-year comments and senior theses?

We don't talk about those here. This ain't no Fairytale of New York.
