That is exactly what happens every freaking time. This was on my ship, USS Cushing DD-985, in 2002. We got lucky that no one was seriously injured.

Hey at least that helicopter didnt have any windows. That is always the part that fucks people up: resisting the urge to unbuckle your harness before you pop the window out.

Huh. That’s probably why the Navy has those cool (terrifying) helo crash simulators that dump you in water and then tip you upside down.

Yup... With all the heavy bits up top, without proper emergency floats (and even with floats, just takes a couple bad waves), they instantly invert. Takes pretty specific training to orient yourself properly and evacuate... :\

Not a pilot myself, but from my Navy training this clip shows the other terrible phenomena of helo crash landings to water. They frequently instantly invert (as in this video), making escape difficult and disorientating for survivors.

You mean the Muslims fleeing the galactially failed Russian puppet state in Syria?

If we can't find it, how did we bomb it?

Dude....

You shot down 1.

If I’m reading this right, the Air Force managed to hide the most beautiful aircraft of its day, with the ugliest aircraft of its day, somehow made even uglier by painting the A7 partially purple?

That matte black A-7 Corsair actually looks pretty damned sweet. I’ll take one!

At least they didn’t shoot it up from the water. If you’re gonna troll with the big boys here, you better unfuck your shit language skills.

I’m still laughing over the “invisible aircraft”. Just imagine if the Soviets had gotten a spy in there and saw this.

The A-7 looks like an older cruise missile with a jet on top of it ;-)

By all means, Apple, give the government a backdoor into iOS. They promise they will use it only this one time...

Let’s do this to the Ivan.

And yet, here I am bitching about those commies.....on my iPhone.

Not to worry Americans, you can trust your new best friend, Cuba. Wink, wink.

Export which F22's? Do you mean the ones we don't build anymore?
