The Iraqis were completely prepared for world war 1.

You are absolutely correct. Except, in 20 years frigates won’t be backed by drones, they will be drones.

Sunk in WWII. There is a lesson there....

Absolutely. It is built, no we need to deploy it and see what it can do.

Total BS

The only thing invading Saudi Arabia would have done is get his ass kicked immediately and not wait through 4 months of UN resolution babble.

Survival against ASM depends on not getting hit. The concept of sustaining damage from ASM systems and having completely operational systems is folly. You'll be lucky to still be afloat and stable and not on fire, no matter what the armor is.

23 mile range was impressive but it is absolutely antiquated technology.

Very good point on the SSGN systems

And they love US Navy rounds 👍

Whoops, wrong button.

Not certain I agree, and here

Missouri and Wisconsin were in the PGW

I don’t know, a marine in a bronco calling in 16 inch rounds from the big Mo sounds pretty damn dangerous.

What’s wrong with the Zumwalt, except for the cost?

I had the opportunity shortly after the war ended to board the Missouri at anchor off ASU Bahrain.

So that means you won't sign up, just play video games?

Except of course we are commenting on real military-political issues where soldiers and airmen are at risk and people get killed.

Well from one video taken who knows where we probably cannot tell, but my guess is the ruskies are flying high to make sure the Turks are in their SAM range, not to avoid anyone else’s.

Wait..: I think you just acknowledged the benefit of American protection at least through 1984.
