I enjoyed Second Son well enough, but I wish they would’ve either had more connective tissue to the first two games, or just started over completely and been more of a reboot, because it felt like something in the middle that couldn’t quite deliver on what it wanted to.

Feeling violated as a consumer is a real thing, most people just forgot that paying money for a product is a pact of trust that you will get what you paid for. CAPCOM violated that trust. Violated has a wider margin of definition than you think.

The craziest stat for me is that PUBG almost doubles it’s peak number of players per month for the past four months.

I think the line is crossed when it goes from “hey play pacifist first time through or else you get locked out of the best ending” to “UM EXCUSE I’M NOT WATCHING THIS BECAUSE HE’S NOT DOING PACIFIST.” The first is advice; the second is demanding.

I mean I love Barret, he’s not the best example of a POC especially the translation they did but people gotta remember it was the 90s. Finding non shitty representation in media/games while not impossible, was pretty rare.
