My only problem with this is toyota had the unintentional acceleration problem, who is to say the computer doesn’t register self accelerating as the drivers input. An electrical malfunction that makes it accelerate would seem logical to show up as well accelerating by the user.

Sounds like they fried batteries with the bad trickle charger, a weekend car shouldn’t need one. My friend only drive his car to and from the airport Monday and friday and then on weekends and his battery usage is normal. Seems like something caused the issue.

Asking the important question here, how do you avoid getting spun in a pit maneuver? If you can’t out accelerate the vehicle do you brake or do you turn in the direction they are trying to push you so the car follow the direction instead of the back end moving one way and the front another?

Yep, sometimes you are on cruise control and just slowly catching up to the car in front of you. You move over to pass and the guy you are passing goes ahead and speeds up a little on his cruise control and it becomes a battle of the 1 mph increases.
