Well it looks like the poor OC will not be getting the big media nostalgia bump that garnered Gilmore Girls so much attention (and a revival) earlier this year, because no one gives a fuck about the CW Seed. It doesn't even have a Roku app, so no OC binging for me.
True. But honestly Kurtzman has a better track record as TV producer than say…Spielberg.
Yeah that was my point.
How does that make sense? We do not know what a CBS Subscription Service show looks like because they don't exist yet. That would be like if in 2006 I said that Mad Men was going to be terrible because it's on AMC, there was no way to know that yet. Sure you could say "I'm not interested in subscribing to another…
He's not running the show, he's just producing it.He produced Fringe too and that turned out okay…
Yes, like that messy collapse he produced that the AV Club hates: Fringe. Kurtzman is a perfectly fine producer. He's not the showrunner, it is basically a non-issue.
This could be that, it is too early to tell.
I'm sure they'll be other, less legal means to find it.
He's just producing. He's produced some good TV too, so no big deal.
Star Wars - it's delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Wookie, "nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound." It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device IS a spaceship. It goes backwards, and forwards… it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It's not called…
"Ice Cream Skank" seems a little harsh/mean-spirited. Not saying that plotline was amazing by any means but the character of Emily was perfectly likable and the actress did a good job.
Ouch. That hurt to watch.
I thought people liked Spider-Gwen. Do people not like Spider-Gwen??
I was ready to hate this but it melted my dead, cold heart.
Probably helps to be a B-list actor or comedian. I'd start there.
I know a lot of these people, I was around them. So let me definitively tell you: they think these movies *are* quality.
I like Glau in Serenity just fine, she's not a great actress but River is very within her wheelhouse. Also isn't Serenity generally pretty well-liked? This article treats it like a failure, which is was from a financial standpoint, but it has a very solid RT score and most people I know who like Firefly like it.
Yeah I do not get the seemingly overwhelming love for it, it was perfectly pleasant but it was the definition of "we probably didn't need this" for me. Both Serenity and Veronica Mars feel much more essential to me. Not that those are exactly the fairest comparisons to make.
Serenity and the Veronica Mars movie are both great in my opinion, better than the Wet Hot prequel. Am I the only one who thinks this?
