So wait. He made some money. Then he gave money away. And didn’t get more money back. I don’t get it. Couldn’t he have just “raised awareness” and kept the money instead?

Well about 36 people (as of this writing, myself included) seem to think seeing him at a party wouldn’t be a bad thing... And for what it’s worth, attempts at humor are generally better in a party setting than depressing negativity.

Perhaps we could park this on the border with Mexico. There’s 100' of the trump wall. Bonus, it pretty much sums him up as a person; a warped image of wealth, power and glamour, but ultimately useless.

The only jobs it creates are ones in old shuttered factories - because no company is going to build a billion dollar facility on the premise that these tariffs are going to last any length of time.

So you get a few hundred union jobs here, but increased costs for everyone which causes sales to drop and costs a few…

But the price for those (now domestic) goods goes up, because they’re still more expensive to produce here. Since the manufacturing capacity doesn’t already exist here, demand outstrips supply, and the prices climb even more. Money doesn’t grow on trees, so people can afford less goods and the standard of living…
