It’s the same complaint this reviewer has had all season. It is not the exact show she wants. So, if it is any different than she wants, it is bad somehow.

See my posts above (if they show up) but yeah I’m with ya.
I’ve been fairly certain from the beginning that Lucy was involved, whether tacitly or otherwise, so I think her telling Julie some big lies is pretty believable (poor phrasing on my part).
That makes total sense. To me the big question being dangled in front us this whole season has been pretty simple: what is Hays forgetting* that is critical to our understanding of the case? It would be weird if his condition turned out to be just a way of developing his character and in no way relevant to the case…
the connection to the first season is just an Easter Egg and a red herring and not a revelation that we are going to get payoff to season 1.
it turns out he’s so lightly injured that he can take on Hayes, who is obviously larger and in better shape—not only doesn’t make sense from a character perspective, but it completely sidesteps forcing the characters to make moral and strategic choices.
I haven’t read any previous reviews (on this or any other site) but regarding this episode, I’m going to agree.
Whoa, I didn’t know that but I’ve only heard the song a couple times. I don’t doubt that it’s about Adams, but what makes it explicit?
So the list (which is great from what I know) was A) created in response to a story about mistreatment of female musicians, B) contains virtually all female artists and C) actually ends with a track by Mandy Moore who is not even known for this genre (I don’t think) but is directly connected to the story that brought…
Yeah you could pick a track from “Rabbit Fur Coat” pretty much at random and it would be great for this list.
Yes yes yes. I love all the Whiskeytown stuff but that one’s in their top five. It’s great hearing it for the first time when she gets to that third verse!
Upon hearing of her, I listened to the debut album from front to back and was really impressed. I texted my 73 year old aunt about it and she was like “oh yeah, I’ve heard her!”. I about fell over but instead caught myself and laughed.
Oh, you still read publications that do retractions? That’s cool, I guess.....
He cann alwasy work @ The AVcLub
I don’t disagree that the Chicago PD probably does all kinds of awful things on a daily basis, some out of pure cruelty, some out of stupidity, and a bunch more out of a combination of both. But that probably doesn’t make them much different than most departments in major cities. I don’t say that to excuse them - on…
shouldn’t the natural reaction be to see the former as the more plausible scenario, until proven otherwise?
Can’t hardly wait for the sequels Let It Be (A Pile Of Severed Heads) and Pleased To Meet Me (Because I Am Also A Serial Killer).
You’re talking about a website (AVC) that has multiple writers who routinely misspell incredibly simple words, make egregious grammatical and factual errors, refer to people by the wrong names (like SNL favorite “Rachel Wiig” recently) and construct sentences so clumsy it can be genuinely difficult to parse their…
I miss Heller. He was excellent.
Enjoy the game! I shall try to remember to report back after the Bruins destroy the Ducks next week. Ducks just fired Carlyle today and they are obviously in disarray.......it seems like a good time to catch them (lost their last seven, not long after a TWELVE game losing streak) but you know how a team gets a…
