The best/worst one is “I don’t know if I’ll do the fighting myself or if other people will”.
Good Band Still Exists
Pretty infamous vid, one I will never tire of: donezig
That’s a great analogy.
Sometimes, the common theory is common because it’s right. Pegg and Frost are both talented guys, but only with Wright do their talents really shine. Most people familiar with their work seem to think this, and it’s true.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Pegg and the Cornetto movies are in my wheelhouse, but can you elaborate on your comment re: Whedon and Fuller? Those guys are writers/showrunners by trade and while Pegg has co-written some things, he’s an actor first and foremost. I’m just not sure where the comparison lies.
I was about to say something REALLY dumb like “yeah, but his role in Star Wars was negligible” and then I realized what you were talking about.
I have a list of reasons that’s probably five Danzigs long why this would/will suck.
I loved Ed Norton’s dig at him during the Comedy Central Roast the other night, about how dumb his movies are: “You could just read the script in the limo on the way to the set! You could, but you DON’T!”
Right on, thanks.
One more reason to find a way to re-watch Homicide! Thx.
I didn’t say anything one way or another about him being racist. Never brought it up. Just mentioned a couple facts.
Probably. Also, cocaine doesn’t pay for itself.
It is indeed, and I am happy because every once in a while when I need something snappy, entertaining and intelligent to breeze through on a weekend afternoon, Out Of Sight often fits the bill. Just watched it again about a month ago. I mean, it’s Elmore Leonard through the lens of Soderbergh plus that cast? Get outta…
I really liked it too, and in reading the above description of his inner thoughts, I’m reminded that at the time I thought that those bizarre internal digressions made him seem like a sort of milquetoast Patrick Bateman from American Psycho.
The other poster makes a good point, but I see what you mean. I think we’re just using to hearing “shed” in that way as “shed light”.
Dennis in particular, because he’s typically the smartest of the bunch yet can’t get any farther in life than the rest of them. The fact that he knows this and still can’t break free makes it doubly funny.
Not his thing; he’s more of an expert on bird voting.
to write a 10 page paper about any topic in European history we wanted (I wrote about the Beatles).
