I have a blank space in my mind where it’s supposed to tell me when someone is joking.

Obviously you haven’t seen Little Mascara, in which Reese Witherspoon is mistaken for a cosmetics billionaire and winds up marrying Peter Dinklage by accident!
I was super jealous of how clean, simple, primal and perfect that screenplay’s structure is
We Are The Best! is such a fun movie.
Yeah but now “joint subcomittee meeting” means you talk with your friends about arthritis.
You shouldn’t have to run anywhere. People on this site have been saying the same thing for years.
This whole “it’s universal, we were ALL assigned to read it way back when, right?” discussion comes up periodically and it’s always interesting. But I’m specifically glad you mentioned Gatsby, because I didn’t read it until I was about 30 and I can barely remember anyone mentioning it prior to that (I’m 40 now), much…
This is one of the best films of the last decade. I’ve seen oodles of horror films and plenty of wild shit overall, but Kill List is genuinely unsettling in a way few films are.
Free Fire is just too much damn fun. There’s really not much there to stamp it as a Wheatley film, but anyway it’s stellar. Saw it in the theater (thanks to comps from A24 and AVC w00t) and have probably thrown it on at midnight for kicks three times since.
That’s a great description!
Yeah that dude is dope as hell and pretty versatile. I think this was the first thing I actually noticed him in, and he’s been popping up elsewhere ever since. Definitely a Wheatley player.
I do.
I don’t know what that means but I like it.
Ye gods.......the notion of watching 2001 for the first time on a laptop makes the mind reel. Glad you saw it all big-sized and stuff!
That’s dope. Love Jeffery Wright, if I was making movies I would have him on speed dial!
Are you seeing 2001 in the new 70mm release? Regardless, enjoy! It’s everything they say it is, and seeing it theatrically is the way to go. Saw it on the big screen years ago and would love to again.
I watched the first episode of the new Kimmy. It was good-not-great, but just knowing there is still Kimmy to enjoy makes the world a better place.
AJ is the wooooooooorrrrrst.
I’ve already been thinking about re-watching the Americans finale. It was so intense (and excellent) that I need to take a second look without the inherent nerves rattling my brain!
Right? It’s too perfect. A friend and I always used to joke about athletes like this, because a quarterback would always be named “Johnny Rifle” or some insane thing.
