Ha, I love the fact that the Simpsons nailed that particular part of the Hansel & Gretel story during Treehouse of Horror XI (the first one where they started to get disturbingly violent).

Don't let The Gathering turn you off of the show. God... it's so very, very bad. So bad. For a show that turns into something truly amazing, it's got to be up there with the worst pilots in the history of pilots.
I always thought that it was "the Enterprise" because it was one of those names that live on. It's the flagship, there can be only one "Enterprise" kind of thing.
But what if my hominid seems to have a neurocranial deficit following the branding and implantation procedure and now seems to be unable to compute simple sums? Do your customer service replicants include warranty protocols?
This is why Captain Cordelia Naismith/Vorkosigan is one of my favorite "strong female characters" of all time. She is undeniably strong, being quick-witted, sharp and extraordinarily resilient, without compromising a distinct female aesthetic in both her thoughts and actions.
So you're saying he needs a Hairmet?
I L-U-V those red leaves. He's right - they tie the whole piece together and really make it pop. The contrast between the red and the pale colors in the rest of the image is stunning.
Well, that would explain my sense of humor. Maybe my mother shouldn't have given me the Xanth books at age 6 as a desperate attempt to find me something to read... =)
I happened to read 'Use of Weapons' first, because my wife had gotten it as a B&N deal or something. I was so impressed with it that I went back and read 'Consider Phlebas', but I didn't like it nearly as well.
8 years after first learning that, I was able to call it back to mind when I hit a problem that needed solving with that equation using precisely that tune. It took a few tries, but it was all there by the fourth try! =)
BEST. POSTER. EVER. I would watch the CRAP out of this movie. xD
I guess Magneto finally got hold of Cerebro, just like he's always wanted. =)
Cerebro seems like a much more apt metaphor, I think.
This could be the hilarious solution to America's weight problem!
I wonder how much lighter you'd feel if you filled these instead with helium.
I even heard that in Bender's voice. Well played.
The fifth one's eyes are strikingly different than the rest. Is that particular one a different species? Its eyes are hauntingly human-like.
That really makes my brain hurt. Like, seriously. Even KNOWING now that it's really a greenish-cyan (I did the MS Paint thing) I still can only see green and blue.
I think you probably have to like his particular style to enjoy this video. Being a huge fan of Middleman, which was almost precisely this amount of absurd, I thought it was great. YMMV, of course.
...oh. Duh. Yup, I missed the joke. You're right, I'd rather rub elbows with the green-skinned variety as well. The Star Trek nerd overpowered the joke-detector. My bad. =)
