My god, it's actually becoming real.

This is why I absolutely love Eric Flint's alternate history. Being that he's a historian, he knows his ripple effects, and he knows what effects are *likely* to occur as a result of history.

I love the phrase "using basic rocket science". That phrase is full of win, especially given our culture's long-term associations of "rocket science" with "things that cannot possibly be understood".

Glad to help out! :D

Those are not only believable, but quite impressive. Very nice - thanks for the link! :D

That is... actually pretty cool. If we can speed up the response time, we're one step closer to mirror-avatars. And people lying to themselves 24/7 instead of... wait.

Dude, you cannot just throw a TVTropes link in there without some kind of warning. Are you trying to drop people into a black hole? xD

Interesting. After spending 75,000 words and ending up scrapping the whole thing when trying to make it up as I went along, I switched to the rough outline/"candy-bar" model for my latest project, and it's working much better. The middle is still tough, but at least I know where I want to go now, instead of being

Regardless of how you feel about her writing itself, Holly's writing advice is in fact top-notch. My wife is a How to think Sideways student, and I've seen some of the material. Holly is an excellent teacher and really understands the mechanics of story-building and getting what you want out of writing.

Thank you for reminding me about 'Awake'. For some reason (maybe it's just my pining for Journeyman?) I think this show looks fascinating.

Came here for this. Was not disappointed.

I've never even seen that guy before. You know, he looks kind of like Tobey Maguire. Anyone ever tell him he has an emo clone?

Raimi's two Spidey films were good. I liked them. This, though... this looks intriguing. This looks like it could be quite enjoyable!

Ha. I started reading Xanth at age 6... yeah, I had some pretty serious questions. I kept them mostly to myself though. Re-reading them when I got older was some pretty eye-opening stuff, particularly about the innocence of childhood.

Anyone else notice that a LOT of these feature Wolverine? Man, that angry Canadian(?) is one popular dude.

A well-placed point. I was mostly thinking of the times when I have been wavering about a film or other work and CJA comes to make it better, but you are absolutely right in that when they well and truly suck, they're called exactly that way.

Huh. I had been planning to avoid Chronicle as it looked kind of bland and uninspiring, but I think I'll check it out now. How do you always manage to make these movies sound so good, Charlie? =)

I'm surprised it took as long as it did, frankly. xD

I love Paul & Storm! Loved them when they were 1/2 of Da Vinci's Notebook and still love them now.
