Yeah, there are a million ways to write that headline that aren't totally confusing....

I had to read and re-read the title 5 times and reread the article to figure out what the hell is actually happening. The title reads like George Will the school money to speak there.

This post is wrong. The linked article phrases it correctly: Only one person has had contact with [her] during the time when she might have been contagious.

WHO IS WATCHING ALL THESE YOUTUBERS!? I "follow" (or whatever) some youtube personalities (however, unlike much of the comentariat, I do not get Grace at all) but I never watch any of their videos. Unlike podcasts, longform articles and books, I can't watch them when I'm not connected to the internet, they require

Stacey is so fucking cool she literally made me WANT diabetes. I remember I would drink a ton of water so I would have to pee a lot, which was described as a symptom of diabetes. I was a stupid child, but I really thought she was the coolest.

Oh my gosh, that "Christopher Pike font" just took me back to jr high....

In order to get a US passport, you have to provide evidence of your US citizenship. So it's really unlikely he had a US passport. That being said, he could have been under the impression that "it was easier" to travel on an Italian passport, never really questioned it or anything. As much as I love Juicy Joe,

This may be a little inside-RHONJ, but I wonder how long it will take Amber to call Teresa fake crying today?

I always had a soft spot in my heart for this family (I know, I know, fraud, blah blah blah). I'm glad they can serve their sentences separately, but still very sad for the girls. Have they filmed the RHONJ reunion yet?

Why do you think that she hasn't considered the total harm? Why do you think that you, a total outsider, knows better than her? Why do you think that she HASN'T been in contact with her lawyer about overall strategy? Why do you think that she HASN'T thought about the fact that this is google-able? Why do you think

Exactly. So are you saying that she shouldn't file a civil suit because her child might read it? You just said that you "could understand" the suit - are you backtracking on that now???

There is not a single quotation from "talking to the press." Every single quotation came directly from the lawsuit. Come on.

They are suing for malpractice. They aren't suing about the kid's racial identity. They're suing about a medical error that caused them to be in a distressing situation: raising a baby in a community that is racist.

It's not the stress of having a child with a black father. It's the stress of having to raise that child in a racist community, being forced to move, having to make this decision, etc. etc.

Oh for fuck's sake.

And she will also have two loving parents who will explain the situation to her.

These parents are going to have a whole bunch of tough conversations with their kid, and I'm sure they can work with their therapist to figure out exactly how to discuss the whole situation with her. But I can guarantee that other people saying "You must be really hurt that your parents wish you were aborted because

Wrongful birth is just a specific kind of negligence cause of action - it doesn't mean (read: you do not have to prove) that you wish your already-born child weren't around.

Wrongful birth is a cause of action that each state defines on its own, so linking to a vague definition that you just had to google is totally irrelevant; in Illinois, you do not need to prove that the negligence deprived them of the opportunity to avoid conception or terminate the pregnancy, period, end of story,

You have a lot less to say when you are proven wrong :) :)
