Look, I have a rescue dog, I volunteer with the rescue, etc. But I think this specific subset of dogs (dogs with a tendency for unprovoked violence) just shouldn't be the focus of animal-lovers. I get frustrated when my own rescue spends thousands of dollars on "rehabbing" dogs with emotional issues when that money

Corporations have brand protections because they filed trademark applications with the government specifically asking for protections. It isn't some natural thing that just happens because a company wants it that way. Even with a trademark, you could still make a racist meme using the Nike logo. The fact that you

What I'm trying to say is just this: this is not that big of a fucking deal.

I really don't think we need to criminalize "unauthorized appropriation of images." Come on. Let's leave the crimes for real problems, not a stupid meme. Keep your kids off of instagram if you're that pearl-clutchy.

Essentially, that she didn't intend for the boy to die (straight up murder) but rather acted in such a reckless way so as to cause the boy to die ("extreme indifference to human life"). She wanted the boy to be very sick so she would get attention, but not specifically for the boy to die.

Wikipedia tells me that 93% of cases have female abusers. Interesting take there:

I know it's because it's more "headline-y," but this lady was not really a mommyblogger. Her blog had 2 posts and hadn't been updated in years. She had a private facebook account. She had a handful of followers on twitter. She obviously has munchausen by proxy, and this is a terrible, tragic case of what happened

Like I said, I love dogs. But the military is cutting benefits to real human families. I know people say that "Oh, it's just the cost of a tank" but it doesn't work that way. And, I'm sorry, there is still a limited amount of attention people have in terms of "These are the things the military should reform" and I

That's a simple answer, but not a realistic one. I honestly don't want the military to spend money on fucking dogs while cutting benefits to actual military families.

The only "real consequences" that Instagram can hand down are "Get off of instagram." Death threats and other threats are actual crimes. But being a gross/racist weirdo isn't a crime, unless it rises specifically to harassment, which this really didn't cover.

Here's my thing, if Instagram does change their settings, it's really just giving parents a false sense of security. Unless you refrain from posting pictures of your kids publicly on the internet, you really can never guarantee that a pervert or an asshole won't take them and be vile with them, all the scary terms of

Oh for Pete's sake, this is such a crock of shit. You can't say someone has a "huge" cultural lapse for missing out on one book/movie.

She asked them for help. They couldn't do anything under their TOS. She changed her settings. She's not leading some crusade to have them change their policy. Literally, in interviews her message is "Change your privacy settings, parents!"

She actually isn't doing that at all. She changed her settings to private and limiting her sharing on social media.

I love puppies and dogs and my little guy is a rescue and blah blah blah.

I'm a dog lover. Love dogs. But I'm sorry, let's let the military focus on proper medical care for human soldiers before spending time, attention and money on such few dogs with unprovoked aggression. Priorities, people.

Eh.

When you post them on facebook/instagram, it absolutely does.

Look at this person's screen name - - - they are a TROLL! Ignore the trolls!

Because once you post pictures publicly, they're public. There's no "you have to be nice" clause in the terms of service.
