GM introduced the EV-1 in ‘96, and debuted the electric skateboard powertrain in ‘02, and buried both ideas. Basically Tesla’s entire foundation is built upon ideas put forth in that Hy-Wire concept. GM was there first two decades ago and said nah fuck it.

I don’t love the looks, but I’m with you on the tech and the powertrain layout.
