Came here to say the same thing. When I was a freshman in high school about 15 years ago, a trans girl was bullied to the point she was withdrawn from school by her parents. I know that still happens all the time, but my heart warmed a bit when it said that her classmates were rallying around her.

This sounds like the kind of principal who would retaliate by contacting the colleges the editors were accepted to and trying to get their acceptances rescinded. I saw something like that happen years ago, though thankfully the colleges told him to piss off.
